Sehlke has recently been awarded a prime contract to provide Analytics Support to DHA J-5, where we deliver data analytics and data science solutions through multiple functional workstreams, including Measures, Information Delivery, Analytics, Reporting, Knowledge Management, and Market Support. Through these functional workstreams, Sehlke supports the creation of appropriate network capacity to serve both direct and purchased care beneficiaries, evaluating Market and Military Treatment Facility (MTF) clinical quality, and accessing and determining patient access contingencies for events such as COVID-19. Sehlke also provides DHA with the required additional analytical tools and support to manage the various types and volumes of queries for data analytics and dashboards. To accomplish this, Sehlke is providing data analytics expertise to create analyses and reports, primarily within Tableau, to inform MHS and DHA leadership regarding approaches to clinical management that take into consideration the various system complexities, unique Market attributes, impact of events such as COVID-19, data types, and use cases.
Due to increased demand for data analytics specific to the COVID -19 pandemic, Sehlke performs COVID-19 related market analyses 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, and 365 days a year. Our analyses leverage various populations of data to provide evidence-based impact assessments and forecasting reports. Examples of these reports include early detection harm indicators in the study of COVID-19 curve; identification of potential changes to the COVID-19 curve based on specific variables and interventions; and identification of early concerns for leadership (i.e., which hospitals are “next,” how prepared they are with PPE, beds, ventilators, etc.). Additionally, Sehlke uses our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology to execute business process automation and optimization activities to support COVID-19 data ingestion to identify waste and bottlenecks; and delineate points of process integration, ownership, and autonomy.
This effort aligns with Sehlke’s newly established Healthcare Advisory Practice Area, which provides expertise to support efforts focused on aligning resources to DHA’s readiness priorities and internal business process improvements and structural changes to find greater efficiencies. These efforts include integrating the health system, implementing the health benefit reforms authorized by Congress, modernizing clinical and business processes, and streamlining internal operations.
Sehlke is currently sourcing additional Data Analysts to support this effort at the following link: DHA Chrome – Data Analysts.
