Arlington, VA, February 25, 2021 – In recognition of Black History Month and to honor the contributions African Americans have made to our country, Sehlke Consulting is pleased to announce it will be making a donation to Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). The mission of TMCF is to ensure student success by promoting educational excellence and preparing the next generation of workforce talent through leadership development.
Sehlke Consulting’s donation will be directed towards Teacher Quality and Retention Program (TQRP), which supports minority teachers in high-need areas. Through coaching and professional development, the program helps teachers work on practicums, lesson planning and preparing for the National Board Certification. By improving the quality of teachers, the program contributes to building a pipeline of college-ready students. The program has trained nearly 300 classroom teachers, who impact more than 30,000 K-12 students each year.
