Arlington, VA – September 20, 2019 – As the United States Navy completes its scheduled transition from the Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) to the Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS) as its latest general ledger system, the demand for post-migration and sustainment support has increased. This includes the official reporting system built on IBM’s COGNOS platform, the SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval Tools System (SMARTS).
To support this ongoing effort, on a beautiful late April day, twelve students from across the Naval Education and Training Center (NETC) Financial Management community came together in Port Hueneme, California, for tailored training on the capabilities of the latest version of the system, led by Sehlke’s own subject matter expert and Deputy Director of SABRS Programs, Grant Murphy. It was a knowledge filled day covering basic and advanced topics including Analytics 11 navigation and functionality, SABRS data file structure, and custom report creation.
Sehlke has developed and is continuing to refine its Training Program. This program is extensive and fully customizable for each client in regard to content and associated skill levels. Below are some examples of possible training subjects that we can provide:
