Arlington, VA, August 16, 2021 – We are excited to announce Sehlke Consulting will be the Tournament Sponsor for the 21st Annual “Chipping In To End Domestic Violence Golf Tournament.” The event will feature a day of competitive golf contests, silent auction, and dinner on October 8, 2021, at Bull Run Golf Club in Haymarket, VA. All donations will benefit the Shelter House and the Artemis House, Fairfax County’s 24-hour emergency shelter for domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking victims.
Shelter House’s mission is to prevent and end homelessness and domestic violence by engaging the community, building effective relationships, and providing crisis intervention, safe housing, and supportive services.
In the past year, across all programs, Shelter House served nearly 500 households comprised of over 1,500 individuals, 60% of which were children. Of the households that exited shelter, over 70% moved to permanent housing.
