Sehlke Consulting’s primary project mission is to support the DHA J5 Analytics and Evaluation Directorate with developing, applying, updating, forecasting, and teaching Military Health System (MHS) information derived from DHA policy-driven measures and methodologies. Additionally, we support executive management decisions and systems development/implementation through studies and analyses that use bio-statistical, financial, healthcare, demographic, workload, and personnel system data. The consequential information will also support the Decision Support Division’s objective of planning for and evaluating the changing operational environment of the MHS beneficiary population. In providing the aforementioned, Sehlke focuses attention on the care provided by Military Treatment Facilities (MTF), with consideration of the care supplied from the private sector. Sehlke also delivers program evaluation and analysis services supporting DHA and MHS management.
In recent efforts, Team Sehlke has been working with the government to create the appropriate network capacity to serve both direct and purchased care beneficiaries, evaluate market and MTF clinical quality, and assess and determine patient access contingencies for events such as COVID-19. Team Sehlke has staffed 74 Full-Time Equivalents (FTE) to support this effort and has aligned them to nine distinct government workstreams. This includes our Program Management Office (PMO), which has built the framework, processes, and automation used for equipping each team member with the resources they need to successfully support their duties.
Within our Knowledge Management workstream, the Quadruple Aim Performance Process (QPP) SharePoint development project has been a big success. Team Sehlke determined the best way forward to meet the 15 June 2021 deadline after identifying deficiencies. We then quickly and skillfully developed a brand-new user interface model to overcome existing user interface deficiencies and increased QPP data retrieval and reporting to assist senior leadership with informed decision-making. Sehlke resolved a long-standing backlog item and developed and delivered a Database Design Document that sets the development standards for all users within J5. Sehlke briefed this progress and provided a tutorial to DHA leadership and stakeholders, which was well received.
Within the Advanced Analytics workstream, where Sehlke is leading the development of a Robotics Center of Excellence (COE) for the DHA enterprise, we have started implementing the Business Requirements Document (BRD), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software coding standards, configuration management, and development lifecycle project plan templates. These fundamental elements will allow the COE to intake and manage requirements, maintain compliance, sustain op-tempo, and ultimately deliver new efficiencies to DHA.
